I think this story is reasonably good. I mean, considering it was written in under a week, in furtive bursts, constantly looking over my shoulder. There is an older version, but I've cleaned up some embarrassing mistakes now.

Week 9: (This was my biggest success. I had to find a balance between drawing it out too long and boring the reader, and rushing so not enough anticipation was built up. All of the dishes mentioned are real and come from a cookbook I kept open beside me while writing.)
